Here are 2 fantastic quick and easy pasta recipes! Pasta is one of the most versatile meals you can make. They’re super easy yet delicious and packed with flavor. Amazing recipes require simple ingredients like olive oil, fresh dill, thyme, cheese, frozen peas, mushrooms, herbs, and garlic. Yes, these easy pasta recipes get it all: flavor, convenience, and simplicity.

What is the best pasta to use for one pan pasta?

You can use any pasta. I don’t think you can really go wrong with the type of pasta you use, but note that cooking time will vary based on your use. Here I am using gluten-free penne that contains carrot and beetroot, not only healthier than regular pasta but looks beautiful and fancy as well.

Can pasta with salmon be reheated or frozen?

While I love recipes where leftovers can be reheated for lunch the next day, this recipe is one that is best eaten immediately. I also don’t recommend freezing this. This recipe takes under 30 minutes to make, and it’s much better when prepared fresh.

SALMON CREAMY PASTA RECIPE

This Salmon Pasta with Green Peas Recipe is a deliciously easy pasta recipe with chunks of tender salmon with fresh dill and creamy Parmesan sauce!

Besides providing us with vibrant flavor and high-quality protein, salmon have many health benefits—a full pack of vitamins, minerals, and omega-3 fatty acids. This Creamy Salmon Pasta is comforting and filling whilst still being fresh and light. With just a few grocery store ingredients, you can create such a delicious pasta recipe. It is easy to make, a few simple ingredients (white wine, garlic, heavy cream & salmon), fresh ingredients, and flavorful white parmesan cheese. This Salmon Creamy Pasta Recipe is easy to put together and can be made 30 minutes or less for a fancy lunch or dinner!

How do I know when my salmon is cooked properly?

The ideal temperature it needs to be is 145 degrees at the thickest part.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Prepare the salmon (150 gr of salmon): remove the skin and bones—cube into large chunks, 1 to 1 1/2-inch pieces, and place into a medium bowl or plate. Season generously with 1/4 tsp kosher salt, 1/4 tsp of freshly ground black pepper, 1/2 lemon juice, 1/4 tsp of garlic powder, and 3 tablespoons of fresh dill. Toss to coat the fish evenly.
  • Preheat a medium frypan over medium heat and add a few tablespoons of olive oil. Once the pan is hot, add the salmon. Fry on medium heat, turning cubes every 2-3 minutes until fish is done; 8 to 10 minutes, depending on thickness. Remove salmon from pan and keep warm.
  • Preheat a medium pan with 1/2 tbsp of olive oil,  add 2 garlic cloves (pressed or finely chopped), and 1 onion. Keep pan over a low-medium heat and sweat the onion until translucent but not browned. Add 1 tbsp of fresh thyme and cook for a few minutes. Then, add 1/3 cup of white wine and turn heat up to medium; cook to reduce wine in half.
  • Turn the heat back down to low and add 1 cup of heavy cream or cooking cream,  1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, and season with 1/2 tsp of salt and 1/4 tsp of pepper. Cook, occasionally whisking until cheese is melted. Add 1 cup of frozen peas; cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Remove sauce from heat and add 200 gr of prepared pasta; toss to coat evenly. Top with salmon and serve immediately.

RED SAUCE PASTA RECIPE

Creamy Red Sauce Pasta. The perfect blend of tomato paste and cream sauce, this pasta is one of our favorite dishes to make and comes together so quickly! Classic and delicious. This Red Sauce Pasta sauce is just 6 main ingredients: onion, garlic, tomato paste, parmesan cheese, mushrooms, and heavy cream. It’s effortless and a great filling meal. This is a tasty, filling meal that happens to be vegan. If you want to add some protein, I’d recommend a side of grilled chicken.

Cook the pasta a minute shy of al dente and drain it well: We don’t want mushy or watery pasta. I let it sit in the colander for a few minutes to ensure it’s thoroughly dry and add about 1/2 tbsp of olive oil to prevent the pasta from sticking together.

Add fresh herbs: Totally optional, but a little chopped basil or dill adds a lovely freshness.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Once boiling, cook 200 gr of pasta according to the directions or until al dente and set aside.
  • While the water is boiling, heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Once the pan is hot, stir in 1/2 onion and 1 garlic cloves (chopped), often stirring, until the onions soften.
  • Next, add 1 cup of mushrooms, stir and cook another 2 minutes.
  • Add 5 tbsp of tomato paste and 2/3 cup of water. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  • Next, add 1 tsp vegetable bouillon, 1/2 tsp of chili powder or chili flakes, 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of oregano, and 100 ml of heavy cream.  Stir and cook another 1-2 minutes, and then the sauce is ready to serve (the sauce should have thickened).
  • Add some parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh dill.

These pasta dishes are some of our favorites. I hope you love them as much as we do!
